Abstracts

Of all the styles of painting I find abstraction, or non-objective, the most freeing and enjoyable to do. Abstraction, which is a term used   to describe recognizable but not “realistic” subject matter all the way to purely non-objective painting, is about depicting the subjective essence of the subject, not the objective reality.

In these paintings I utilize the “flow or pouring” techniques which involve minimal use of tools, relying on gravity and happy accidental movement. These works are inspired by the Color Field School of the Abstract Expressionist Movement.
